This program is designed to prepare students for a career in the Environmental and Chemical Process Industries or related chemical laboratory-related careers. The program includes a strong background in the appropriate core sub-disciplines of chemistry; environmental science; laboratory training using state-of-the-art instruments, materials and techniques employed in the environmental and chemical industries; appropriate safety training; problem-solving skills, including statistical analysis of data; the skills and understanding necessary to work effectively as part of a team; effective oral and written communication skills and proper record keeping techniques.
