The purpose of the Criminal Justice Program is designed to provide an introductory review of the various aspects of the Criminal Justice System and the entities within this system and to assist students in making sound decisions for their future. The program offers a two-year transfer degree meeting the basic requirements of most universities for an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice.
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board adopted a Field of Study in Criminal Justice course curricula for transfer into upper level higher education institution criminal justice programs. This degree plan also consists of the course listings delineated in that Field of Study document.
