Training Grant Opportunities

Del Mar College partners with a variety of partners who support and supplement tuition fees. These partners included awarding agencies such as the Texas Workforce Commission, Texas Mutual, and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. These grant awards often cover the tuition and textbooks as well as supportive costs to include but not limited to student supplies, tools, and uniforms.

Grant Programs typically support training in high demand occupations and vary throughout the year. Some grants include the following:

  • TWC Building Construction Trades Grant – Training for students interested in industrial trades such as plumbing, electrical, and construction.
  • THECB Texas Reskill and Upskill through Education – TRUE- Training opportunities vary dependent on award but include healthcare, career and industry, and construction trades.
  • TWC Adult Basic Education – Training for students who need to complete their high school equivalency diploma and interested in a high demand career pathway.
  • TWC English as a Second Language (ESL) – Training for students whose first language is not English. Career pathway training available to International Professionals.
