Continuing Education Unit (CEU)
Many courses offer Continuing Education Units (CEU) which may be used to meet state or professional requirements. A CEU is a reporting unit defined as ten contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience. A student may request a Continuing Education transcript for personal or professional use to demonstrate successful completion of a course, hours awarded, and CEUs earned.
Admission Requirements
Admission to most programs is open to anyone 17 years of age or older, regardless of educational background. A limited number of courses requires certain prerequisites. Completion of registration forms and payment of tuition and lab fees (where applicable) are required for admission.
Tuition/Fees
Tuition and fees are subject to changes that might be deemed advisable by the Board of Regents. See course schedule for current tuition/fees.
Financial Aid for Continuing Education students at Del Mar College is funded with the Continuing Education Texas Public Educational Grant (CETPEG). CETPEG funding is available to eligible students, with demonstrated need, who enroll in state-funded classes. State-funded classes are usually career or occupational courses. For more information, please visit the Financial Aid Forms section of the Del Mar College website (https://delmar.edu/becoming-a-viking/afford/finaid-forms.html).
Training Grant Opportunities
Del Mar College partners with a variety of partners who support and supplement tuition fees. These partners included awarding agencies such as the Texas Workforce Commission, Texas Mutual, and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. These grant awards often cover the tuition and textbooks as well as supportive costs to include but not limited to student supplies, tools, and uniforms.
