The History Program offers a rich learning environment that promotes the development of skills such as critical reading, primary source analysis and competency in a diverse range of historical content areas. Students are immersed in courses which require intensive reading of both secondary historical interpretations, as well as first-hand accounts of the past. The program emphasizes many important themes including ethnic diversity, global connections to regional and national histories, as well as social and economic factors which contribute to the course of the human past.
