VA Education Benefits
Students who are eligible to receive VA Educational benefits should contact the VA or visit the Education and Training section of the VA website (https://benefits.va.gov/gibill) to learn about eligibility and VA requirements. Del Mar College Veterans Services staff are not VA employees and cannot answer for decisions and payments made by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Steps for new students wishing to use VA Educational Benefits:
- Apply for admission and be admitted to Del Mar College as a student.
- Provide all required documentation to Veterans Services.
- Certificate of Eligibility (letter from VA - to request, see the How to Apply section of the Department of Veterans Affairs website (https://www.va.gov/education/how-to-apply/)
- DD-214 form (Veterans only)
- Intent to Enroll (Obtain from Veterans Services)
- Disclaimer (Obtain from Veterans Services)
- Degree Plan
- Course Schedule
- Copies of Military Transcripts (if applicable)
