Architecture, Associate of Science
(Suggested Transfer Plan)
This program is the suggested transfer plan to follow if a student wishes to seek a professional degree in the field of architecture and then go on to become an architect. This program consists of the first two years of architectural education offered at most schools of architecture. There is currently an articulation agreement with Texas Tech University for transfer. The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board has adopted a Field of Study in Architecture course curricula for transfer into upper level higher education institution architecture programs. This degree plan also consists of the course listings delineated in that Field of Study document. The student planning to continue at another university should consult an adviser concerning degree requirements of the school to which transfer is intended.

This degree does not meet the 42 semester credit hour core requirement for associate degrees.
This degree plan follows the THECB Architecture Field of Study course curricula (ARCH 1301, ARCH 1302, ARCH 1303, ARCH 1304, ARCH 1307, ARCH 1308, ARCH 1311, ARCH 2312, ARCH 2603, and ARCH 2604).
