This degree does not meet the 42 semester credit hour core requirement for associate degrees.

This degree plan follows the THECB Music Field of Study course curricula (4 SCH MUEN Ensembles; 8 SCH MUAP Applied Study; MUSI 1311, MUSI 1312, MUSI 2311, MUSI 2312; MUSI 1116, MUSI 1117, MUSI 2116, MUSI 2117; and MUSI 1307).

Students should check specific requirements of the college or university to which they plan to transfer.

Students who have piano as their major instrument may omit MUSI 1181, MUSI 1182, MUSI 2181, and MUSI 2182.

Keyboard majors should be continuously enrolled in MUEN 1136 (piano accompanying).

Communications Core Elective: ENGL 1302, SPCH 1311, SPCH 1315, or SPCH 1321.

Music Electives: MUAP 1100 series; MUEN 1128–MUEN 1134, MUEN 1137–MUEN 1139 or MUEN 1151–MUEN 1152.

MUEN Ensemble Electives: MUEN 1121, MUEN 1122, MUEN 1135, or MUEN 1136. Concert Band majors may substitute MUEN 1121 for the Major Ensemble requirement. Guitar majors may substitute MUEN 1135 for the Major Ensemble requirement. Piano majors may substitute MUEN 1136 for the Major Ensemble requirement.
