A Carpenter is an essential member of the construction team that participates in the planning and construction of residential and light commercial construction projects. Skilled craftsmen in this building trade are currently the highest in demand in the construction industry. This program provides students with the creative and technical skills to work with wood in order to create aesthetically pleasing and functional structures, from window frames to kitchen cabinets. This program provides training in framing, exterior and interior finishing, roofing, concrete foundations, building maintenance, home renovations, cabinet making, and even furniture making. Students will also learn the latest safety considerations and industry regulations.
