CHEM 1407 Introductory Chemistry II

Course Description

Second semester of chemistry for students in nonscience and/or technical applied science majors and for majors in some baccalaureate nursing programs. A continuation of the fundamentals of inorganic and organic chemistry, including selected biochemistry concepts, gases, liquids and solids, solutions, chemical equilibria, oxidation/reduction, electrochemistry and nuclear chemistry. Credit not given for both this course and CHEM 1412.

Prerequisite(s)

CHEM 1405 or CHEM 1406, or have permission of the department chairperson
