Course Description

HEALTH CARE CONCEPTS I (3-4-4) 51.3801 In-depth coverage of foundational health care concepts with application through selected exemplars. Concepts include comfort, diversity, elimination, functional ability, human development, mobility, nutrition, sensory perception, sleep, thermoregulation, grief and tissue integrity.Emphasizes development of clinical judgment skills in the beginning nurse. The course lends itself to a concept-based approach. Prerequisites: BIOL 2401, BIOL 2402, ENGL 1301 and PSYC 2301. Concurrent: RNSG 1125, RNSG 1128, RNSG 1161 and RNSG 1216. Assessment Levels: R3, E3, M3.
