Continuing Education and Off-Campus Programs

Continuing Education and Off-Campus Programs provides educational opportunities for students to get work and career ready to meet the workforce demands in our community. We offer comprehensive courses and programs to assist students with workforce and career development, opportunities to learn and enhance their skills, and support of economic development initiatives in the Coastal Bend with a work-ready workforce. Our variety of career training programs for high-demand occupations prepare the student for immediate employment and are offered with the student’s convenience in mind with day, evening, and online options.

Continuing Education

Continuing Education also provides educational courses to help expand an individual’s personal, professional, cultural, and recreational interests. Many courses offer Continuing Education Units (CEU), which may be used to meet state or professional requirements. Our courses are designed to promote lifelong learning.

Continuing Education Unit (CEU)

Many courses offer Continuing Education Units (CEU) which may be used to meet state or professional requirements. A CEU is a reporting unit defined as ten contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience. A student may request a Continuing Education transcript for personal or professional use to demonstrate successful completion of a course, hours awarded, and CEUs earned.

Admission Requirements

Admission to most programs is open to anyone 17 years of age or older, regardless of educational background. A limited number of courses requires certain prerequisites. Completion of registration forms and payment of tuition and lab fees (where applicable) are required for admission.

Financial Aid for Continuing Education students at Del Mar College is funded with the Continuing Education Texas Public Educational Grant (CETPEG). CETPEG funding is available to eligible students, with demonstrated need, who enroll in state-funded classes. State-funded classes are usually career or occupational courses. Refund Policy

Refunds of tuition and fees may be made under these conditions:

  1. A 100% refund will be made automatically if the College exercises its right to cancel a class or if a class is full at the time your registration is received.
  2. A 100% refund will be honored if requested by midnight of the first day of class.
