Certification of Education Benefits Each Semester

Each semester, if you intend to utilize education benefits or exemptions, you must advise the Veteran Services Office of courses in which you are enrolled and request certification. It is your responsibility to inform Veteran Services Office of any changes in enrollment status. The VA will not be notified of your enrollment or request for benefits nor will your exemptions be processed if you fail to complete a request for certification for each semester that you intend to use veteran’s benefits or exemptions. Requests for certification of Post 9/11 G.I. Bill and Hazlewood Act Exemption must be received no later than the payment deadline for the registration period or you may be removed from your classes for non-payment. Other VA benefit chapters may be certified at any time during the semester and for up to 12 months after the start date of the enrollment period.
