GISC 2301. DATA ACQUISITION AND ANALYSIS IN GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS (GIS) (2-4-3) A study of management of geographic information, system life cycles and costs and benefits. Topics include demographic management and institutional issues such as data providers, data management, combination of attribute and graphical data, information and storage and access, Texas and national standards for spatial data; and applications of GIS for demographic modeling and analysis. Prerequisites: GISC 1311, GISC 1421, GISC 2420 and one of the following GISC 1491 or GISC 2435. Assessment Levels: R1, E1, M1. 45.0702
