HIST 2327. MEXICAN-AMERICAN HISTORY I (3-0-3) Survey of the early Mesoamerican and Spanish history of Mexican-Americans in the United States from 1821; indigenous and Spanish foundations of colonial Mexican society; the development of New Spain's northern frontier; the influence of Mexican independence on the northern frontier; the impact of early U.S. territorial and cultural expansion on Mexico's northern frontier.
