Course Description

ENGT 1407. DIGITAL FUNDAMENTALS (3-3-4) Analysis, design, and simulation of combinational and sequential systems using: classical Boolean algebra techniques, laboratory hardware experiments and computer simulation. An introduction to programmable logic devices (PLDs) and application-specific integrated circuits using software tool to the design and analysis of digital logic circuits and systems. Standard instrumentation used in testing digital circuits and systems will be introduced. Prerequisite: MATH 1314, College Algebra, and a computer programming course such as COSC 1309, 1436 or ENGR 2304. Assessment Levels: R3, E2, M3. 15.0303

Prerequisite: MATH 1314. A computer programming course such as COSC 1309, COSC 1436 OR ENGR 2304. Must level 3 in Reading and Math. Must have level 2 in English.
